Safety on PEG isn't a policy page — it's structural. Here is exactly what is in place, and exactly what isn't.
Verified identity
Everyone who posts or applies on PEG has a verified account. Anonymous posting isn't possible.
Parent connected for minors
Workers under 18 must have a parent linked to their account. Parents see commitments, approvals, and completed experiences.
Approximate locations only
Opportunities show a neighborhood, never a street address. Exact details unlock only after someone is accepted.
Verified organizations
Nonprofits, schools and teams are confirmed as real organizations before they can post.
Message history retained
For users under 18, conversation history is retained and visible to the connected parent. This is stated clearly in the product, not buried.
Age requirements on every post
Every opportunity carries a minimum age. Young people never see work they aren't eligible for.
Being straight with you
What PEG does not do.
PEG does not run criminal background checks, and we won't imply otherwise. Identity verification confirms that a person is who they say they are — it is not a screening service.
PEG does not supervise work in person. Households and organizations remain responsible for the environments they invite young people into, and young people should always tell a parent or guardian where they're going.
PEG does not sell or publish personal information. Exact addresses are never shown publicly, and contact details are shared only between people who have agreed to work together.
